As you can see from some of the demo pictures, our walls were not very well insulated. Some sections had some rock wool which settled on the bottom of the wall and other sections had none at all. We are lucky it was rock wool and not vermiculite asbestos which was being mined here in Bozeman at the time. Now we are up with the modern times and have a foam insulation that seals up all the small cracks and is impermeable to moisture. In conjunction with the new windows, our house is quite snug.
